So last night, I managed to sneak away to a
life drawing class down in Leith.
It was all about movement, drawing not what the figure is, but what the figure is doing.
From an animator's point of view, I found it very useful, and from a humans point of view I found it very free and fun.
The first graphite drawings were super quick 1 minute poses, then we moved on to so very slightly longer poses.
The red chalk was drawing the growing of the movement of the figure.
The last drawing was a long pose, with charcoal. We knocked back the drawing with a rag any time the figure moved or something wasn't working.
